HOTSHOT BASKETBALL COMPETITION

HotShot Competition is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 from 3 to 5 PM.
If additional time is needed time will be extended or more competition will be held on Sunday, October 18. We will crown a Long Island Grand Champion in each age group.

This event is free to all entrants who pre-register to compete.
All entrants who pre-register also receive Free Admission to the LI Sports & Fitness Expo. Space is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis! Good Luck To All Athletes!

REGISTRATION AND WAIVER FORM

RULES OF COMPETITION:

1. Highest Percentage of Scores will advance to next round of competition.
2. Each entrant is given sixty seconds to make as many baskets as possible at certain distances worth various points.
Entrants with the most points will advance to next round – so think strategically!
3. Each entrant will shoot from designated spots on the court.
4. Each designated spot has a point value ( Three-Point 3, Foul Shot 2, Layup 1, Half Court 5 Points).
5. There must be at least one attempt from each spot. Half Court Shot can only be attempted once.
6. Each entrant must have both feet behind the line for a 2 or 3 or 5 point shot.
7. Entrants must rebound their own shot.
8. If there is a tie – 30 seconds is placed back on clock. If still tied, then 15 seconds. If still tied then 7 seconds.
9. Fundamental Sports Training, Inc. is the official referee of HotShot Competition.

Middle School (6-8th grade)
  HS Varsity (11-12th)
HS – JV (9-10th)
  College/Adult (18/older)
